Constructing more complex sentences by connecting ideas, giving reasons, expressing conditions, and offering alternatives.
You're explaining to a friend why your weekend plans changed. You say, 'I planned to go hiking, but (ところが) it suddenly started raining. Therefore (すると), I decided to go to the museum instead, or (または) maybe watch a movie at home if (もし) the rain continues. The reason is (なぜなら) I don't want to get wet.'
